사라사테의 Zigeunerweisen (Gypsy Airs : 집시의 노래)를 남미 Venezuela  출신 trumpet 연주자의 음악으로 들으면 나의 선입관이 내재하여서 인지 더 애잔하게 들린다. 남미 국가중에서 석유자원이 풍부하여 1990년대 까지 부유하게 잘 살던나라가, 거짓된 포퓨리즘을 이용한 좌파 독재자 때문에 일시에 거지나라로 전락하였는데, Pachos Flores같은 세계적 트럼펫 연주자를 배출하여 우리에게 더 애잔한 마음으로 다가오게 연주하는 것 같기도 하다.

1970년대 미국은행에서 OJT 경영연수를 받는 동안 나를 도와주던 매니저가 "지난 여름 가족과 함께 베네주엘라 여행을 하였는데 아름다운 곳이니 기회되면 들려 볼 것"을 권유하던 것이 나의 머리를 스쳐간다.

In the early years of the 16th century there began to appear in Britain some members of a wandering race of people who were ultimately of Hindu origin and who called themselves and their language Romany. 인도 북부에서 기원된 유랑민이 이집트를 거쳐 16세기 초에 영국에 나타나기

(명사)로 쓰이면 [북부 인도가 근원인 유랑민]을 뜻하며 현재 아시아 유럽등 으로 넓게 분포함.
