나의 취향은 음악. 미술을 감상하고 여행하는 것은 좋아하나, 무용과 오페라는 별로이며 문외한이다.

그러기에 나의 생활 가운데 발레 혹은 오페라 공연을 자진하여 찾아다니지 않았고 아는 것도 없다.

오늘 0음악정원에서 폴모리아 악단의 이사도라 음악을 보내며, Isadora Duncan(18877-1927)의 삶을 소개하였기에 마음이 끌려 Wikipedia사전을 검색하여 보고, 이사도라가 어려운 역경에도 불구하고 돈과 사랑의 유혹을 멀리하며 순수한 무용(예술)의 열정에 빠진 삶을 살았다는 것을 알았고 연민의 정을 느끼게 하였다.

Sandro Botticelli의 그림-봄((Primavera)을 보고,무용(춤)으로 표현하여 보겠다고 마음을 다진 이사도라가 진정한 예술가였으며, 미국인들이 찬사를 보내는 이유를 알게되었다.

Isadora Duncan was born in San Francisco, the youngest of the four children of Joseph Charles Duncan (1819

–1898), a banker, mining engineer and connoisseur of the arts, and Mary Isadora Gray (1849–1922).

Her brothers were Augustin Duncan and Raymond Duncan;^[2] her sister, Elizabeth Duncan, was also a dancer.^[3][4] 

Soon after Isadora's birth, her father was exposed to illegal bank dealings, and the family became extremely poor.^[2]

Her parents divorced when she was an infant,^[5] and her mother moved with her family to Oakland, California, where

she worked as a seamstress and piano teacher. From ages six to ten, Isadora attended school, but she dropped out,

finding it constricting. As her family was very poor, she and her three siblings earned money by teaching dance to local
