Last night I took a walk after dark, / A swingin' place called Palisades Park;
To have some fun and see what I could see, / That's where the girls are.
I took a ride on the shoot the shoot,  / The girl I sat beside was awful cute;
And when we stopped she was holdin' hands with me,  / My heart was flyin'

Up a like a rocket ship,  / Down a like a roller coaster,
Fast a like a loop the loop / And a round a like a merry go round.
We ate and ate at a hot dog stand, / We danced around to a rockin' band;
And when I could, / I gave that girl a hug, in the tunnel of love
You'll never know how great a kiss can feel, / When you've stopped at the top of the ferris wheel,
Where I fell in love, Down at Palisades Park. / Down at Palisades Park.

내가 Palisades Park ,New Jersey에서 생활한 것이 1984~1987년 // Palisades Amusement Park은 1970년대초 아파트로 재개발되어 있었다. 35년이란 세월이 지나 2023년 10월에 금혼 맞이 추억여행을 하며 방문하였을 때는 주변의 단독 주택을 포함하여 고급 아파트로 재개발되어 있었고, Broadway와 Fort Lee의 Main St. 주변은 Korea Town이 형성되어 여기 저기 한글 간판이 눈에 띄었다.
