미슬토 아래서 사랑고백

           

 

서유롭(Western Europe)이나 미국의 남부 오크라호마주 인근을 겨울에 여행하다

보면 고목(古木)에 기생하는 Mistletoe(겨우살이)를 쉽게 발견할 수 있습니다..

시골에서는 크리스마스 절기가 되면 Mistletoe를 따다가 현관문에 위 사진과 같은

화환모양의 크리스마스 장식을 하기도 합니다.^^*

구미지역에 크리스마스 절기에  크리스마스 장식으로 달아놓은 mistletoe 아래에

서 있는 연인에게 사랑의 고백(kiss)을 하여도 좋다는 관습이 전하여지고 있으며,

영어사전에도 "kissing under the mistletoe" 라는 관용구가 실려져 있습니다.

동영상(YouTube)을 서핑하다가 위의 관용어구를 인용한 노래가 있어서 녹음(편집)하여

노랫말과 함께 올렸습니다.

Underneath the mistletoe,we`ll kiss by candle light    우 리 미슬토아래 촛불옆에서 키스할거에요

 

Room is swaying, records playing                               방안은 음악과 함께 춤추고 있어요

All the old songs, we love to hear                                흘러간 노래들을 듣기 좋아하지요

All I wish that everyday is Christmas                          나는 매일 매일 크리스마스 같기를 바래요

What a nice way to spend the year                               일년 내내 그리 지내면 얼마나 좋겠어요
