핀란드는 약소 국가로 13세기 경부터 19세기 초까지는 스웨덴, 그 이후엔 러시아의 지배를 받았다.

러시아의 핀란드에 대한 압박이 심하게 되자 애국적 저항 운동이 불붙게 된 시기에 34세의 청년

시벨리우스는 1899년 애국 찬가인 이 작품을 작곡하여 민족 정신 을 고취시켰다.

Sibelius음악중에 우리에게 보다 알려진 것은 Karelia Suite-Intermezzo라고 생각되어 아래에

함께 포스팅합니다.

국가가 강하여야 나라를 지킬 수 있다.

대한민국은 작은 나라이다. 그러나  경제력으로는 세계 12위권 까지 성장하여 작으면서

강한 국가가 되었는데, 주사파 정권이 들어서며  친북.친중 정책으로 대한민국을 위기로

몰고있는 현시국에 국민이 깨어나서 이들의 국가 파괴행각을 막아야 할 것이다.

지연 학연 혈연등 감성적 사고에서 벗어나 Sibelius 같은 애국심이 필요한 때이다.

자유시장경제의 공정한 경쟁을 통하여 국가의 발전을 추구하는 대한민국의 정체성을

굳건히 지켜 나아가야 세계 만방 가운데 대한민국의 번영을 약속할 수 있기 때문이다.

Karelia지역은 역사적으로 Finland와 Russia 간의 영토 분쟁지역이며,

음악 속에 Sibelius의 애국심이 표현되어있다. 

Various subdivisions may be called Karelia. 카레리아(Karelia)지역은 현재 여러 곳으로 분리되어있다. 

Finnish Karelia was an historical province of Finland, and is now divided between Finland and Russia,

often called just Karjala in Finnish. 원래 카레리아 지역은 역사적으로 핀란드에 속하였으나, 현재는 핀란드와

러시아가 나누어서 영유권행사를 하고 있다.

The eastern part of this chiefly Lutheran area was ceded to Russia after the Winter War of 1939–40.

1939~40년 러시아와의 겨울전쟁에서 패하여 Karelia동부 루터교도들이 사는 지역은 러시아에 양도되었다.
