The Last Rose Of Summer

'Tis the last rose of summer   마지막 한 떨기 여름장미
Left blooming alone;  홀로 피어 남아 있네.
All her lovely companions 같이 피어있던 고운 꽃들은
Are faded and gone; 모두 시들어 사라지고
No flower of her kindred, 그 고운 꽃잎 색갈
No rosebud is nigh,  장미꽃 봉우리 마저도 없기에,
To reflect back her blushes, 반영(反映) 없이 
To give sigh for sigh. 한숨 짖네.

 

I'll not leave thee, thou lone one!  외로이 피어 있는 장미꽃,
To pine on the stem;  나는 너를 버리지 않겠네!  
Since the lovely are sleeping,  버리면 꽃자루가 애타게 그립겠지:
Go, sleep thou with them. 고운 꽃들 잠들었으니 
Thus kindly I scatter,  너도 가서 그들과 함께 잠들게나.
Thy leaves o'er the bed,    나는 즐거운 마음으로그대 잎을 나의 침대에 뿌려 놓겠네.     
Where thy mates of the garden  그 자리엔 같이 꽃피던 꽃밭 친구들이                 
Lie scentless and dead.   향기도 사라지고,시들은 채 깔려 있네                        

                                               

So soon may I follow,  나도 빨리 너를 따라가려네
When friendships decay, 우정은 시들어 떨어지고
And from Love's shining circle   사랑하는 이의 반짝이는 비녀에서
The gems drop away.   보석이 떨어져 나갈 때...   
When true hearts lie withered   진실한 마음 시들고
And fond ones are flown,   다정한 마음이 사라질 때...
Oh! who would inhabit,   아 ! 그 누가 살아가겠나?
This bleak world alone?   홀로 이 적막한 세상에서
